the Tripla Challenge!
Mall of Tripla is more than a shopping mall — it is a dynamic urban hub and a major transport node where trains, buses, trams, cars, bikes, and pedestrians all converge. Every day, close to 100,000 people pass through, often switching from one mode of transport to another. At the same time, Tripla is a destination in itself and a central gateway to Helsinki’s largest events and experiences — from Veikkaus Arena and Messukeskus to the Olympic Stadium. This unique position allows Tripla to shape the future of mobility, retail, and customer experience in the city.
Your challenge
Work with Tripla’s and other industry experts to adapt your solution to this real-world innovation playground. Consider how your technology or service could inspire greener choices such as cycling and public transport, elevate both digital and physical wayfinding into a new kind of customer experience, enrich the event journey for visitors and tenants alike, and enhance comfort, accessibility, and inclusivity for everyone. At the same time, Mall of Tripla is looking for ideas that make people want to spend more time in Tripla and discover new ways to enjoy and use its wide range of services. In this challenge, Mall of Tripla is seeking solution ideas that can be implemented quickly as pilot projects — preferably existing services or products that work as they are or with only small modifications to be tailored for Tripla — rather than purely idea-level suggestions.
What’s in it for you?
Participating in the Tripla Challenge is a chance to work side by side with experts from the partnering organisations and adapt your solution to real customer needs in a unique, high-traffic environment. Throughout the day, you will tweak and showcase how your product or service can improve the flow of people, goods, and experiences in one of Helsinki’s busiest transport nodes. Depending on the outcomes, the most promising solutions may be invited to move forward into real-world piloting at Tripla, offering a rare opportunity to demonstrate impact at a site with nearly 100,000 daily visitors and direct links to major event venues. Beyond the possibility of piloting, the challenge also offers visibility, credibility, and the chance to position your company at the forefront of shaping the future of urban mobility, retail, and customer experience.
