CASSINI Challenges is the annual innovation competition of CASSINI, the EU’s space entrepreneurship initiative that supports entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs in the space sector. Hosted by EUSPA, it promotes the use of EU space data and technologies to tackle real-world commercial, social and environmental challenges, often by applying space solutions in non-space industries. The result is enhanced EU global space competitiveness and direct support for the founders leading the way with novel technologies and services.
The competition has already attracted over 1,200 applications and supported 149 winners with nearly EUR 4 million in prize money. These best-in-class solutions cover market segments such as ClimateTech, AgriTech, Mobility and Aviation, thereby solidifying CASSINI Challenges’ position across the continent in inspiring innovation, cultivating ideas and delivering solutions that benefit citizens and businesses across all industry sectors.
